An Insight Into How Your Subconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior

By Virginia Hamilton

At every step of life, a person makes a lot of decisions and take actions every now and then. Interestingly, you are seldom in control. Many people are often misled to think that they are in full control of their actions, which is so far from the truth. A person cannot be in full control of their conduct whatsoever. Reason being, not all actions are consequences of the conscious decisions. In fact, most often such actions are controlled by the subconscious awareness. Most emotions and actions happen in split seconds. If you are wondering how it happens, here is how your subconscious mind rules your behavior.

The unconscious thoughts function differently from conscious thoughts. The unconscious thought is also more powerful than conscious awareness. If you can access and control the unconscious awareness, you can do extraordinary things with thoughts alone. Most information of reality is possessed by the unconscious mind, with the conscious thought possessing just a tiny fraction of the information.

Even if a conviction was not available to the conscious awareness, it will still influence the conduct of a person. A person's behaviors result from their emotions, and their emotions are controlled by their unconscious thoughts. Therefore, it would be sensible to conclude that the unconscious thought is the most influential factor that affects human conduct and actions.

An individual can help in controlling his/her thoughts. There is a theory that separates the awareness into three parts which include the id, the ego as well as the superego. The theory further states that the unconscious thought contains most of the emotions, impulses, and beliefs. The ego, on the other hand, loves to control people. You can stop it from controlling you by integrating it with other identities of thoughts.

It is a large memory bank. This means that it is capable of storing an unimaginably vast amount of information. In fact, it contains the most important information that the brain contains. The unconscious thoughts are capable of storing information from childhood to the current times. When hypnotized, you will be able to see the past so clearly.

The unconscious part of your awareness is responsible for preserving a balance in you. For instance, it maintains a balance among the hundreds or so chemicals rent in body cells, which are billions in number. The unconscious thoughts also contain homeostatic impulse which is what keeps the body temperature at the right amount.

The unconscious thought is subjective in nature. The unconscious awareness stores all the habits for thought and behaving. Therefore, it has memorized all the comfort zones and always works to keep you there at all times. This explains the physical and emotional discomfort you may experience when you encounter something not familiar or different.

Understanding how unconscious awareness works can help you live a more fulfilling life. For instance, it will help a person judge people better and more accurately, and improve their relationship with those people. Similarly, when you are able to control or access the unconscious mind, you will be able to react to people more realistically.
