By Nancy Wood

There are hundreds of Baptist churches in the United States of America. The Southern Baptist Convention is considered as one of the largest Christian denominations in America. It has millions of followers. Globally, there are billions of Christians. That makes Christianity to be the biggest religion in the world by sheer numbers. A true Baptist in Coward, South Carolina, will make the point of attending the services of the Baptist Church Coward on a regular basis. By doing so, he will be able to grow spiritually. As a matter of fact, spiritual growth is just as important as physical growth.

As a Baptist, attending the Sunday service is not a luxury. It is a basic need. The importance of attending the Sunday service must never be taken for granted at any moment in time. This issue needs to be given the seriousness that it deserves. Sunday is the official day of Sabbath. It is the seventh day of a week.

Sunday is not the only day of the week for attending a Christian church. Nowadays, most churches in America and also in other parts of planet earth such as Canada, and Europe, usually have weekday services. These services run from Monday to Saturday. They usually take place over the course of the lunch period or in the evening.

When attending service, one should pay attention to all that the pastor has to say. It will be important to participate in every activity that happens during the course of the service. If it is time for praise and worship, one should not sit down. Actually, doing that is totally not a good thing. It is advisable to stand and sing praise.

There is the need to pay close attention to the message of the day. This will be delivered by a member of the clergy. This can be a pastor, bishop, or even an archbishop. The message in question will come directly from the Holy Bible. It will be taken from a particular book, chapter, and verse. It will be read aloud.

A good sermon will have a strong foundation in Scripture. It will be backed with Biblical verses. In Christianity, the Holy Bible is indispensable. This is the light of the feet of a believer. It is the compass of a true Christian. The Bible never lies. Heaven and earth will pass away with thunder and a lot of noises but no single word of Scripture will pass without fulfillment.

Prayer occupies a central role in a Christian service. There will be times when congregants will be required to engage in personal prayers. At times, group prayers will be the order of the day. Scripture commands believers to pray without ceasing so that they can be able to overcome the many temptations of life. Actually, life is full of challenges.

Christianity is one of the oldest religions on earth. It is as old as time. Christianity can be traced back to the book of Genesis. Since the beginning of time, everything was laid down for the New Covenant that is represented by Christianity. There are Christians who identify as Catholics and those who identify as Protestants. Catholicism and Protestantism have a lot in common. They are all Bible based.
