Common Problems That Teens Are Suffering From

Growth is inevitable, people are supposed to go through stages and live lives as adult on the right time. Once a person grows, their brain would change as well and be mature in terms of thinking about responsibilities, career, studies and more. This stage often takes place after puberty where often tines the changes initially happens. This is the stage of life where there are so man confusions and pressure built inside the human brain which can cause a problem. Being a young adult sure is not easy. Youngsters are subjected to feelings that they sometimes do not understand that well. They undergo in a rollercoaster like emotions which could last more years than that of being in that stage. These up and downs which they feel is a side effect of their hormones changing and other areas of their self and personality.

This age requires so much guidance from those who understand them so that they will not end up thinking that something is wrong with what they are becoming. The effects of these thoughts could be a mere reason for an individual to develop a mental health issue. And people around those who are suffering from such things should be aware of this so they would not end up adding salt to an injury.

Sometimes parents would just think that being moody and cranky is normal for teenagers to feel and it will just be a phase. But little did everyone know, mood swings can be a reason for youngsters to feel confusion about their feeling and controlling it can be hard. On the next paragraphs, some of the most common mental sickness will be explained briefly.

The most common mental problems that teenagers are experiencing are autism, anxiety, depression and behavioral disorders. Statistic shows that male are most like to have autism and ADHD while women are commonly suffering from anxiety. One commonly acquire such problems once and if they were raised in a family that abuses them physically or sexually.

Depression is a feeling of uncontrolled sadness, overwhelming melancholy with anger. Having such problem would cause them to be irritable with most people around them and they may feel physical problems like headache and stomach ache too. They also feel worthless and they began questioning their worth where it often leads to thinking of death.

Anxiety may come hand in hand with depression where this allows person to feel extreme fear, trauma, panicking and more. Because of that feeling, they often became unresponsive to people and are overly emotional when alone. Room with lots of people makes them uneasy too and usually gets social anxiety.

Eating disorder can be classified into two types, anorexia and bulimia. Anorexia is an eating problem where person eats only a small amount of food or they never eat all. Bulimia is overeating of foods they do not need and purging them after. Usually women who have either of the two are suffering from pressure that is gradually put on their shoulder.

When these signs are seen on any family member or friends, it is best to seek therapy and treatment for them. It will prevent any serious problems that may occur if these are not treated right. These emotions are compound feelings that allows one to be vulnerable to pain and other unwanted thoughts.
