Attending The Service Of A Bible Believing Baptist Church Coward

By Charles Reynolds

Christianity is not new. It has existed for thousands of years. In addition, it will not end any time soon. It will continue existing till the end of time. Christianity will always be there. Great kings and emperors predicted the end of Christianity. Some of them even persecuted Christians. However, many centuries after their death, Christianity is stronger than ever before. Catholicism is an important part of Christianity. That is also the case with Protestantism. A Baptist church Coward is Christian in every sense and respect. In addition, it is authentically American but has a global presence.

Every major faith on earth has a day in which believers attend service. For the case of Muslims, that is Friday. This is the day that Muslims go to the mosque. The mosque is a place of worship for Muslims. Jews attend synagogue on Saturday. The synagogue is the Jewish place of worship. For the case of Christians, it is Saturday or Sunday.

Christians have six days in a week to work as hard as they want and make money. Sunday is that day of a week when a believer should not work. Actually, it is a day of rest. The best thing to do on Sunday is to first attend service and then to come back home and rest adequately.

There will be a number of Sunday services. Thus, one can easily find the one that will fit into his schedule. Of course, the first service will start early in the morning and it is likely to last for around one hour. Attending Sunday service is just but one part of the equation. It is also advisable to attend some weekday services.

Being merely a Sunday Christian is the worst thing that a believer can do. Some people bring out their best colors on Sunday and they resume to their normal worldly lives during the rest of the week. That is not a good thing. It is a sign of hypocrisy and lukewarm Christianity. The Bible says that an individual should be hot or cold and not lukewarm.

The service, whether it is Sunday or weekday service will start with a word of prayer. The opening prayer will set the mood for the rest of the service. Thus, it should be done in the best manner possible. The pastor can deliver this prayer. Alternatively, it will be delivered by any member of the congregation who has been chosen.

Praying will play an important role during the service. Some prayers will be carried out by the pastor. There are those that members of the congregation will offer. Believers should pray for the forgiveness of sins. The Bible instructs believers to pray without ceasing. The service will also have a good deal of praise and worship. Reading scripture will also feature prominently.

A good percentage of Americans are Baptists. The Baptist faith started in the United Kingdom. However, it became popular in United States of America. It is from America that it spread to the different parts of planet earth. Christians are instructed to take the faith to all the four corners of the planet. As a matter of fact, that is the great Christian commission.
