Maintaining clean spaces is essential for everyone including young children. Everyone wants to feel comfortable in their home or workplace. Unfortunately, some individuals are unable to keep tidy spaces which leads to clutter. A messy environment may seem harmless but there are many negative effects experienced. Extreme cluttering affects your well-being because it leads to stress. The side effects of stress are numerous and can have a bad impact on your health.

Cleaning your space is the most effective way to overcome clutter. Maintaining clean and tidy space saves you money. In most cases, people pay professionals to get rid of extreme mess within households and offices. Save some money by engaging in cleaning activities. During this exercise, get rid of anything that is not of use. Old items in the living room should be placed in a bin for sorting later.

Drawers and wardrobes are filled with unwanted stuff. Take time to check your drawers and closet. Take out clothes that are too small or make you look bad. Some clothes become small before they are worn out. Such clothes should be placed in a sorting basket. Pick all the unwanted papers lying on the floor. You can to throw them away or recycle.

It is always wise to clean your room at least once or twice a week. Many individuals throw items underneath the bed and forget to clean. This habit leads to extreme cluttering in the house. Check underneath your bed to get rid of items such as toys, shoes, socks, and clothing. Clean the entire room and place everything classified as clutter in one sorting basket.

The next step is to sort out items placed in the sorting bin. Sorting items is not an easy task as it sounds. However, you can make the entire process simple and enjoyable. Place your sorting basket in one of the large rooms in your house. Pick one item at a time to have a close look at it and decide whether it is useful or not.

It is normal to have items you love and are willing to keep. Think about items you love and place them aside. The next aspect you should consider is how many times the item is utilized. Some items remind you of special people or events. Decide if they stand a chance to remain in the house based on your emotions.

Divide the sorting pile into three categories. Things like keys, pens, and notebooks are utilized every day. Keep them inside a container or box. This makes work easy when looking for an item. Place tools within a portable toolbox and store it somewhere safe within reach.

Go through clothes and shoes before keeping them in the garage. Garments worn at least once a month should be stored safely in cloth hangers or drawers inside, garage. Your final group contains items you have no intention of using. Subdivide such items into two groups. One entails items that are in good order. This should be given to the less fortunate. The second group contains items that are in bad shape and can be thrown or recycled.
